I worked on this literally all night and I'm gonna finally go to bed after I post this comment. xD auuugh, please no critiques on this. a lot of people like to complain about my anatomy and I really don't appreciate it. other than that, PauloxLucy haters..yeah, I know. they're just so cute to me. <33 that's about it I guess.

gah, no, no.. I adore supportive and bouncy comments, I just don't handle critiques very well. ^^; I'm really sensitive about certain things when it comes to my art (which I need to work on), so I just letting the public know. .3.

okay, I'll keep that in mind.

y'know what actually, that's bugging me now. I know this and I've delt with it a zillion times before. if I could go back and edit that first comment, I would go ahead and take that critique part out. I hate them, but I don't want people thinking I don't care about their artistic opinion or like I'm suggesting they have to right to express their opinion. I know the flaws in my work, like big*ss heads and tiny hands and stuff, but if anyone bothers to read this particular comment and has a critique to offer, fine, just tell me what I could do to improve and why.

Anyway, I know what you mean by "criticism".
Well, it is doesn't mean bash at all. Criticism is one thing, hate hate hate trolling bash is another. Criticism is made to help one person in improve in something. If is reasonable, it can be a great help if not the easiest one to help us to improve. Hate hate hate comments know to be disacouraging I know that. Many people really hate my art style. But I don't fucking care. Right or wrong, I'm not a scientific illustrator.
Other people give me hints to make this or that look that. That ones get all my respect.

Personally, I think your anatomy skills are pretty good. I really don't anything to point, but well, who I am to talk about human anatomy if I can't do any close as you?

Anyway, keep doing it!

Wow girl. Just wow. You're art style is amazing. I WISH I could draw that cute of a Paulo. I agree your anatomy does need a little tweaking. But the hands and head (like your earlier comments- yes i read them) i think are just your style and look fantastic. The only think i saw that could be done different is Lucy's legs/crouch in 9. crouch a tiny bit too high is all. Other than that i think it's all down to your personal style.

Also i honestly don't know why you'd hate critiques so much (not haters- they stupid. i mean constructive criticism). For one it is the fundamental part of improving- you can only critique yourself so much. And even though it may seem mean at the time since you put in SO MUCH effort; when people simply say "that's nice" "how pretty" "i like that"- to me it starts feeling a bit fake. As if my art was REALLY bad and they don't want to offend. When the nit pick about it i can tell they're really looking hard at it. And it's more rewarding to hear straight praise that way too.

Anyway, that's enough ranting. Serously though, your artstyle is amazing. Can't wait to see more. And i hope you DO take in what people say (to a degree)- because you deserve to be the best, why not let people help you get there?

Ugh, more PxL. At least it's still of a high quality, makes it somewhat bearable to look at. I don't really see why you get complaints about anatomy when it looks fine. I mean, yeah, couple things might be a little out of proportion, but as long as it looks good and it's not fucking blimp heads or anything, there's no problem.

to everyone who had something to say about a critique: well first, thank you for being gentle with your words, that made it easier for me to handle. thing is, I don't care if people necessarily hate my style, I just hate being told my art needs to change because it looks bad here and here and there and here kinda breaks my heart because yes, I did put a lot of effort into my work and it's hard to being told your best sucks. (well this isn't my best because of the sketchyness and lack of shading, but ya'll know what I mean. that's just part of human nature, no one wants to be told what they don't wanna hear. oO what a lot of people don't realize is that I attend an art school and I major in visual arts. I do artwork outside of this style, hate it, and anything and everything I create gets criticized and NONE of my teachers support the style of art I make. I have been given the same shit for 5 years at that school, so usually when people online offer criticism, it's literally always something I'm very plainly aware of/just a flat out insult and eh..maybe it's just me, but I don't like getting repeatedly told something I'm already aware of. yes, I realize that there are many advantages to getting artistic critiques and they do help, but that's not gonna stop me from disliking them. I don't see how that makes me an artist with a bad attitude or whatever, just if I want critique, I'll ask for it and if not, then..well..I guess all I can ask is to be nice and constructive at least.

y'know, I almost put Katie down for my least favourite character, but I don't really feel as strongly about her as I do with Rachel. She's really ditzy and careless, but something about Rachel in particular just gets on my nerves. like the way she was being in Pillow Talk and not being understanding of Jasmine and how she seemed to be proud of being a slut. oO it's like.. I don't see what's cute or likable about that. if she were a real person, I would not like her at all. I don't think she's a bad character or a bitch all around, I just don't like her in general. Katie's kinda...too cliched for me to really care.

to hell with bad unconstructive critics, as long as you satisfied with what you do and enjoy it (unless your hand is killing you again). A person style not something that can be thouroughly criticize cause no one is the same. Me think you do real nice and like other before me say, the proportions are perfect in me point of view, so keep it up and me will go look at what else you do on deviant art ^_^

okay, listen guys..(well those who will check back here) I feel like more people than I'm aware of are talking about all the comments on this about my opinion of critique and stuff. I really don't want people getting the wrong idea of me as an artist and as a person. I know that no matter what, people are always going to have their own view on this subject despite what I say. I'm just saying I'd rather not get critiqued on this particular piece, but if it IS constructive, I will go ahead and take it. it's really way too easy to interpret people negatively or positively by what and how they express their words online. so if it's for any consolation, I understand that not wanting criticism is a poor attitude for an artist and I will work on that. I'm only posting this here because I don't have a twitter or whatever. so please, chill. .__.
